Founder & Director
Kristin has been teaching ballet in Howard County for the past 20 years. She holds a B.A. in Dance from the University of Maryland, and received her training through a Ford Foundation Scholarship with the New York City Ballet.
She began her training with Duard Farquhar in Columbus, Ohio and continued with Russel Fratto and Madame Jenette Laurrett (an original member of the Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo) at Ballet Etudes in Norwalk, Connecticut. While residing in Connecticut, she studied also with Leon Danielian, Director of the American Ballet Theater School, Maestro Vincenzi Celli, Muriel Stuart, and Martha Graham.
Kristin is an ABT® Affiliate Teacher , who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Primary through Level 5 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum and has successfully presented students for examinations.
Tiffany Alastanos, originally from Bridgeport, WV, is currently pursuing her masters in Dance Education at UMBC. She graduated in 2009 from Ohio University with a BFA in Dance and a BS in Actuarial Science. While at Ohio University, she performed in numerous works by students, faculty, and guest artists including Sean Curran, Ruben Graciani, and a reconstruction of a 1943 Jean Erdman solo.
Her own choreography has also been shown at American College Dance Festival and the WV State Dance Festival. From 2010-2013 she lived in Chicago, IL, where she danced professionally with Piel Morena Contemporary Dance.
Tiffany is also a fully certified Pilates instructor through Power Pilates. She enjoys teaching and helping people discover new things about their bodies whether it be through dance or Pilates.
Stephanie is an ABT certified instructor for level Primary through level 3. She has experience teaching ballet to adults and children of all ages and enjoys sharing her love of dance. Additionally, Stephanie has a Bachelor’s degree from Dickinson College in Biology and Master’s degree from University of Maryland in Environmental Sciences.
Stephanie Kassner began her dance training at the Fredericksburg Civic Ballet with former Joffrey Ballet dancer Ms. Shifflett, and her continued training with Diane Fagan while apprenticing with the Ridgefield Civic Ballet Company. In college, Stephanie had the opportunity to continue studying ballet with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and broaden her dance experience beyond ballet, working with various guests artists such as Tony nominated choreographer, Vincent Paterson. Stephanie continues her ballet training, having attended classes with the Washington Ballet, the National Ballet Inc., the Metropolitan Ballet of Minneapolis, and the Central School of Ballet in London, England.
